IFSA AND PAUL BAXTER – THE SUCCESSFUL COMBINATION

October saw further confirmation of IFSA's significant role in the construction industry.

Following the October meeting of the British Standard committee (BSI) for the fire resistance of construction, Paul Baxter was awarded a 25 year certificate. Paul has been IFSA's main representative on the committee for all of that time and has made an active contribution to all of the standards issued by FSH/22 over this period. Currently, Paul is the Convenor of the FSH/22/-0/03 Committee dealing with penetration and linear gap sealing and is particularly involved in generating the newly envisaged test for partial penetrations.

The Association would like to thank Paul publicly for his efforts over that time and believe that the recognition is well earned. In addition to his attendance at BSI meetings during this time, he has been a regular attendee at numerous CEN and ISO meetings.

IFSA is at the front of standard development, as this award signifies.
